A conference on "Protection of Human Rights and Religious Freedom" was held on June 30th at Vellore, bringing together human rights advocates, social leaders, and activists to discuss the importance of safeguarding fundamental human rights and ensuring religious freedom for all.
The conference focused on the humanitarian concerns surrounding the detention of 95-year-old Chairman Lee Man-hee, with participants urging authorities to consider his advanced age, health, and dignity while addressing legal proceedings. Speakers emphasized that the protection of human rights and religious freedom must remain a cornerstone of every democratic society and called for compassionate and humanitarian consideration in the case.

Dr. Sunil Mittal, who also serves as the Executive President of HRSJM Vellore, attended the conference as the Chief Guest and addressed the gathering.
