Jerusalem: Terrorists opened fire on passengers after they boarded a bus in Jerusalem, killing five people and wounding 12, the Times of Israel reported.

Seven of the injured are in serious condition, while five others have minor injuries. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is assessing the situation with his security chiefs, the Israeli prime minister's office said.

The Israeli Prime Minister's Office, posting on X, said, "Prime Minister Netanyahu is currently assessing the situation with the heads of the security apparatus following the attack in Jerusalem."
