Begur police in Bengaluru have arrested one individual for a series of house burglaries. The police recovered 232 grams of gold jewelry from the thief, valued at an estimated 20.97 lakh rupees. With this single arrest, a total of six cases have been solved. This includes three cases from the Begur police station, and one each from Hoskote, Chikkaballapur, and the Kuppam police station in Andhra Pradesh. The search for another accomplice involved in the case is ongoing.
A complaint had been registered at the Begur police station regarding this matter. A person had locked their house and gone to Udupi for a dance program. Upon returning home, they found the door lock broken and 330 grams of gold jewelry and 1 kg 200 grams of silver items stolen from the house.
The police investigated and took a person into custody on Begur Manipal County Road. During the interrogation, this individual confessed to committing the theft with his accomplice. He revealed that he had pawned the stolen gold jewelry at pawn shops in Kolar Gold Fields (KGF). The police recovered 232 grams of gold jewelry from the pawn shops in KGF.

This operation was successfully carried out by a team led by Police Inspector Sri Krishnakumar P.S. from the Begur police station, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police of the Electronic Division, Sri Narayan M., and the leadership of Assistant Commissioner of Police of the Electronic City sub-division, Sri K.M. Satish.
